Dr. Schrader practices comprehensive adult medicine at the Center for Executive Medicine. He is an internal medicine physician who treats a broad range of adult health issues and emphasizes proactive and preventive care. His interests encompass all aspects of adult health maintenance and the management of complex chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Dr. Schrader will tell you that his interest in medicine and focus on heart disease arose when he was growing up, watching multiple family members battle coronary disease and congestive heart failure.
Originally from Fort Worth, Dr. Schrader completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University in College Station. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has been elected to Fellowship by the American College of Physicians. Dr. Schrader has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Academy of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Schrader is a member of the medical staff of Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, Texas Health Center for Diagnostics and Surgery, and Lifecare Hospital Plano. He has served on multiple hospital and medical professional organization committees focusing on patient care quality and safety, and as Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Schrader also teaches medical and nursing students in our outpatient practice.
Dr. Schrader and his family live in Dallas; in his leisure time, Dr. Schrader enjoys travel, snow skiing, golf, and tennis.
